This tutorial will show you how to make a cool gold effect.

Firstly, Choose which item you are going to turn gold, here i have a sword! I have it pre coloured, choose a nice bright golden yellow for the base colour. |

Using the Hardest paintbrush you have, fill in blocks of brownish orange colour (dont go too dark) at the bottom of every shiney area on the object. Shade in the same direction as the surface. Make sure you leave a clear gap in between the lineart and the fills (dont make the gap too thin) |

Once you have done that, use the magic wand tool and select all the new area you have just painted then using the gradient (choose - foreground to transparent from the gradient pallete) and find a darker reddish brown , like so. |

Next, apply light yellow/white to the tops of the brown areas. Select
the Dodge tool [ |

Finish it off with a Lens flare (optional of course) to make it extra sparkely! (note: the image needs to be flattened for the flare to work properly, so i do this when you have finished the image. |
